Arriva’s Service 281, the town centre bus link, provides a frequent service between
the main shopping centres, the rail station and the historic parts of Tunbridge Wells.

Our fleet of state-of-the-art-easy-access buses, purchased to bring new levels of comfort to the service, and in their distinctive livery, have the latest engine technology to minimise emissions and to help make Tunbridge Wells a cleaner and greener place.

The town centre bus link runs every 12 minutes for the main part of the day on
Mondays to Saturdays, so there’s not long to wait if you miss one!

The town centre bus link will save you having to walk up the steep hills and with a Shopper-hopper ticket you can travel on as many Arriva buses as you like for just 80p all day (except before 9am on Mondays to Fridays) within the Shopper-hopper zone which extends from the town centre right out to Sainsbury’s! Even if you park your car in town, the town centre bus link is ideal for getting around and great value with a Shopper-hopper ticket!

Pick up one of our special voucher leaflets and you will be able to enjoy discounts at some of the shops in the Pantiles and Old High Street/Chapel Place areas. The leaflets are availble from some of the shops, from the Arriva Travel Shop at 36. St. John’s Road or by calling our Customer Services department on 0844 800 4411.

The Arriva Travel Shop is also the place to find out more about Arriva’s other services in the Tunbridge Wells area. You can also book days out and short breaks by New Enterprise Coaches, buy tickets for National Express coach services throughout the UK and Eurolines services into Europe, as well as Shearings Coach Holidays. The Travel Shop is located in the building alongside the Arriva bus depot.

The Monday to Saturday evening service has been improved from 6th April, with buses now running every 30 minutes until late evening.
